FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We ALWAYS suggest you consult with your primary care provider regarding any medical issues you may be having. InfusIVe IV Hydration and Wellness focuses on wellness and symptomatic relief. We DO NOT diagnose, treat, prevent, and/or cure ANY illness or disease.

IS IV HYDRATION SAFE?

Absolutely! You may be surprised to know that supplements are not FDA approved, because they are classified as food not medication. Supplements are not intended to cure diseases or reduce the risk of such health problems as cancer or heart disease. They are not medicine, and they are not subject to the same scrutiny that medicine is. However, all vitamins and nutrients we use are purchased from a legal FDA 503B compounding pharmacy. The FDA has designated 503B compounding pharmacies as those with outsourcing facilities that may manufacture large batches with or without prescriptions to be sold to healthcare facilities for office use only.

  • An FDA 503B outsourcing facility is a facility at one geographic location or address that is engaged in the compounding of sterile drugs; has elected to register as an outsourcing facility; and complies with all of the requirements of section 503B.

  • An FDA 503B outsourcing facility must compound drugs under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist within the facility, have their compounded drugs inspected by the FDA and comply with Certified Good Manufacturing Practices requirements.

Every IV therapy treatment is administered by either a Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse and performed under our medical director. Before a client receives IV therapy, vitals signs are recorded and health history is evaluated. After the treatment ends, clients can resume most activities and daily responsibilities immediately with the exception of heavy lifting.

WHAT IF MY VEINS DON'T COOPERATE OR
WE ARE UNABLE TO INSERT THE IV?

Not all veins are alike, boy do we know! Some individual's veins are just more difficult to access than others. Our staff have been inserting IV's for years and will do whatever they can to get the IV in place safely and with causing as little discomfort as possible. However, if we are unable to insert the IV, you will not be charged.

CAN ANYONE HAVE AN IV?

Most everyone can safely receive our IV cocktails, but there are a few exceptions. Minors (under 18) and people with specific chronic diseases are not eligible for IV therapy. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding you can still have treatment, but some medications may be off-limits. If you are pregnant and would like an infusion, we will ask for a note from your OBGYN. We as Nurse Practitioners will work closely with you to review your history to ensure IV hydration is safe for you. Please make sure to clearly state any medical conditions, allergies or illnesses you have prior to your treatment. We may tweak your cocktails based on the information you provide.

WILL I BRUISE AFTER THE INFUSION?

Bruising at the site of the IV is uncommon but can happen in those prone to easy bruising. We take every step and precaution possible to minimize it.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Our infusions range from $75-$150. Our injections and additives range from $20-$50. Please check out our announcements or our facebook page for any offers we may have!

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY INJECTION APPOINTMENT?

We kindly request 24-hour notice for cancellations. Cancellations made prior to this window are rescheduled with no penalty. No-shows or cancellations made without 24 hours’ notice, but prior to the start of the session, incur a $10 late-cancellation fee.

Getting an IV can be different for everyone. An entire treatment can take anywhere between 30-45 minutes, including paperwork we suggest planning on staying with us for an hour. We'll let you relax in one of our reclining chairs and watch TV or curl up with a comfortable blanket and take a nap.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

We do not accept private insurance, Medicare or Medicaid.

HOW LONG DO THE TREATMENTS LAST & HOW OFTEN CAN I GET THEM?

Well, everyone is different. However, the effects of our infusions can last 1-2 weeks, sometimes even longer. More physically active individuals will metabolize the vitamins and minerals faster than a more sedentary person.

*B12 - we recommend getting a once weekly injection for one month, this is what we call a loading dose. Then a once monthly injection as a maintenance dose.

*Mega Burn and Lipo B- The lipotropic boosting effect usually llasts for one week. Therefore, if weight loss is the only reason for taking lipotropic, we recommend them once weekly.

*Biotin- we recommend getting once a week for three months. After three months we would evaluate the progress of your skin, hair, and nails.

*Vitamin D- we recommend weekly, because vitamin D is fat soluble, we will require blood work after your third injection to ensure your Vitamin D levels are safely monitored.

HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER THE INFUSION?

Fantastic. After the infusion, you should have a feeling of calm, sustained energy, mental focus, and overall well-being. Most individuals feel the effects within a few hours of treatment but after 24 hours they should feel the full effects.

We kindly request 24-hour notice for cancellations. Cancellations made prior to this window are rescheduled with no penalty. No-shows or cancellations made without 24 hours’ notice, but prior to the start of the session incur a $50 late-cancellation fee.
