WHAT ARE COSMETIC INJECTABLES?
Cosmetic injectables are nonsurgical aesthetic treatments designed to enhance facial appearance and address specific cosmetic concerns. Often referred to as neurotoxins or wrinkle relaxers and commonly called Botox. These treatments work by temporarily relaxing targeted muscles responsible for facial expressions, helping to soften the appearance of lines and wrinkles. We proudly offer Dysport®, an FDA-approved injectable wrinkle relaxer designed to temporarily soften the appearance of fine lines and expression wrinkles.
Botox® vs. Dysport®
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
Did you know that Botox® is actually a brand name, not the name of the treatment itself?
Both Botox® and Dysport® are formulations of botulinum toxin type A and work similarly to temporarily reduce muscle activity that contributes to expression lines. Although the products differ in formulation, dosing, and onset, both are designed to create a smoother, refreshed appearance. Dysport® is our preferred wrinkle-relaxing injectable, and our providers will help determine whether it’s appropriate for your individual aesthetic goals.

Much like other well-known brand names, Botox® has become a commonly used term when referring to wrinkle-relaxing injections. However, Botox® is just one of several FDA-approved neuromodulators.
I’ve Had Botox® Before. Can I Switch to Dysport®?
Absolutely! If you’ve previously received Botox®, you may be a great candidate for Dysport®! Both products work similarly to soften fine lines and expression wrinkles, making the transition between treatments generally straightforward. At InfusIVe, our providers will review your previous treatments, including when you last received injections, to ensure appropriate timing and personalized dosing. Whether you’re trying Dysport® for the first time or transitioning from Botox®, we’re here to help you achieve beautiful, natural-looking results! Treatment eligibility is determined during your consultation.
WHAT COSMETIC INJECTIONS CAN (AND CANNOT) TREAT
To get the most out of your first treatment, it is important to understand exactly what cosmetic injections can achieve. Neurotoxins are specifically designed to treat dynamic wrinkles, also known as the lines that appear when you move your face, such as when you smile, frown, or look surprised. They cannot fill deep, permanent creases that remain when your face is completely at rest (those are best addressed with dermal fillers)

These are the three most popular treatment zones, often referred to as the structural pillars of upper facial rejuvenation:

What is the cost?
Our cosmetic injectables are priced at
$11 per Botox® equivalent unit.
At InfusIVe, we exclusively offer Dysport®; however, we understand that many patients are more familiar with Botox® pricing and dosing. To keep our pricing simple, consistent, and easy to understand, we use Botox® equivalent units for pricing purposes, rather than charging by individual Dysport® units. Although Botox® and Dysport® work similarly, their units are not interchangeable. Our providers account for these differences when determining your individualized treatment and calculating your cost. This approach allows patients who have previously received Botox® to better understand and compare pricing while still enjoying the benefits of Dysport®.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT MY APPOINTMENT
During your appointment, your provider will evaluate your facial anatomy, discuss your goals, and recommend an individualized treatment plan. You may experience temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, or mild bruising at the injection sites. Most patients can return to their normal daily activities shortly after treatment, following their provider’s aftercare instructions.

How Do Cosmetic Injectables Work?
Dysport® works by temporarily blocking nerve signals to targeted muscles, reducing the muscle contractions that contribute to expression lines. As these muscles relax, the overlying skin can appear smoother and more refreshed.
Are Cosmetic Injectables Right for Me?
Cosmetic injectables may be a great option for adults looking to soften expression lines without surgery. During your consultation, your provider will review your medical history, aesthetic goals, and treatment expectations to determine whether Dysport® is appropriate for you. Be sure to disclose any medical conditions, particularly neuromuscular disorders, as well as medications, allergies, and previous injectable treatments. Dysport® is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding because adequate safety data are unavailable.
Will I Still Look Like Myself?
Absolutely, that is our goal! Our approach focuses on enhancing your natural features rather than dramatically changing your appearance. Treatment is carefully individualized to help soften expression lines while preserving a refreshed, natural-looking appearance.
When Will I See Results?
Many patients begin noticing results within approximately 2–3 days, although the onset varies. Full results are generally assessed around 14 days after treatment.
How Long Do Results Last?
Dysport® results commonly last approximately 3–4 months, although individual results may vary based on the treatment area, muscle activity, and other factors.
Your provider can help determine an appropriate maintenance schedule based on your individual response.
Does the Treatment Hurt?
Most patients describe the injections as a quick pinch or mild discomfort.
The injections are administered using a fine needle, and the procedure is typically completed within minutes.
Is There Any Downtime?
Most patients can resume normal activities shortly after treatment.
Mild redness, swelling, or bruising may occur at the injection sites and typically improves over time.
Your provider will review specific aftercare instructions with you, including guidance regarding makeup, exercise, and touching the treated areas.
When Should I Schedule My Next Treatment?
Results typically last approximately 3–4 months.
Your provider will assess your results and help determine when another treatment may be appropriate. Dysport® treatments should not be administered more frequently than every three months.
